Geneva/Switzerland, 29 April 2014 -- One of the most frequently visited online elastomer selection guides — the DuPont Chemical Resistance Guide (CRG) — has been upgraded to be available online and offline for desktops, tablets and smart phones!

Based on our extensive knowledge of elastomer performance and the knowledge of industry experts, the CRG is a convenient user-friendly tool to help seal specifiers choose the best elastomer for their application. Users choose from over 1,800 chemicals, and ratings are assigned to 20 elastomer families. For more specific performance ratings in a variety of temperatures, the CRG provides additional information on DuPont™ Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts and DuPont™ Viton® fluoroelastomers.

The first section of the CRG, Introduction to Elastomers, serves as an educational tool for material and maintenance engineers, giving basic information about elastomers and the properties that are important when selecting them.

In the second section, General Chemical Resistance Guide from the Los Angeles Rubber Group, Inc, you’ll find over 1,800 chemicals and performance ratings of the major types of elastomers in a selected chemical at room temperature.

The third section, Elastomer Products from DuPont, provides extensive performance data on our products, particularly DuPont™ Kalrez® and Viton®. Performance information and ratings are available in various temperatures and additional chemicals.
The CRG is provided free of charge from DuPont Performance Polymers (DPP) on the DuPont website. Users click on “Access Chemical Resistance Guide” at www.crg.dupont.com for registration and immediate online access.
