Grandiôse Mascara by Lancôme with its specific patented "Swan-Neck" wand which allows for unprecedented access to the lashess from the root to the tip has been patented by Lancôme. The brush is made from DuPontTM Surlyn®. The encapsulated Lancôme rose is sublimated as is this uniquely designed mascara.

Geneva, September 2014 – For the next edition of the Luxe Pack Monaco, "Maison Surlyn®" has been redesigned by the Italian designer Francesco Lucchese who will decorate the DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers stand, inspired by the latest trends in fashion and design. A touch of elegance has been added to the original concept of the stand conceived as a luxury boutique valuing the creative potential of Surlyn®.
Designers and creators alike continue to explore this unique material, to push the limits and Surlyn® continues to create followers among the big names of perfume and cosmetics. Among the many features listed, DuPont will present Grandiôse Mascara by Lancôme with its specific patented"Swan-Neck" wand that has been patented by Lancôme. "It was the only material that could perform technically and aesthetically to the specific needs of the brand with high production constraints" says François Martin, Make-up Packaging Manager for L’OREAL Luxe. Indeed, the Lancôme rose with petals in suspension had to flourish in a perfectly transparent component while lining up perfectly with the wand of the mascara.
DuPont and MBF Plastiques took up the challenge through innovative encapsulation with the Surlyn® technology. MBF Plastiques carried out impressive work on the different stages of injection in order to obtain a seamless piece, without a visible ghost, with a perfectly centred rose after moulding. “The design of the rose was also worked so that it would have the desired result taking into account the optical effects of the mould” explains Eric Jacquin, Project Manager by MBF Plastiques. The rose has retained the fine detail and suffered no deformation, it is sublimated like this uniquely designed mascara.
With "Maison Surlyn®”, DuPont wants to meet the needs of perfume and cosmetic packaging managers with technical know-how, unique and innovative solutions taking into account new trends.
