BERKELEY COLLEGE NAMED ONE OF THE
BEST PLACES TO WORK IN NEW JERSEY

Berkeley College was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey for 2010. It is the fifth year the College has received the honor.

“Berkeley College is honored to be included among the best in New Jersey,” said Berkeley College President Dario A. Cortes, PhD. “Our associates and faculty are passionate about participating in our students’ experience, resulting in a high level of fulfillment and satisfaction in their work.”

The award program, created in 2005, is produced by NJBIZ and sponsored by Extensis, Gibbons P.C., and Rothstein Kass. It was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in New Jersey, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses.

The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program recognizes 55 companies in two groups, depending on number of employees.

“Berkeley College is honored and proud to be listed among the best companies to work for in New Jersey,” said Berkeley College Vice President of Human Resources Karen Carpentieri. “We believe the benefits we offer to our more than 500 associates help us to attract and keep the best faculty and staff. Some of these benefits include waiving tuition at Berkeley College for associates and their dependents; an associate referral incentive program; a Healthy Living Wellness Program; a flexible spending account for out-of-pocket expenses; pet insurance; and a paid time-off policy to help balance work and family life.”

Berkeley College will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in New Jersey awards dinner on Thursday, April 22, at the Hilton East Brunswick. Final rankings will be announced at the ceremony.

A leader in business education for 79 years, Berkeley College maintains an enrollment of more than 8,000 students, including 665 international students in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs. The College has two New York campuses in Midtown Manhattan and White Plains, an Extension Center in Lower Manhattan in the Wall Street area, and four New Jersey campuses located in Woodland Park (formerly West Paterson), Paramus, Woodbridge, and Newark. In addition, the College offers Berkeley College Online and Corporate Learning Partnerships.
