Indianapolis, IN - August 5, 2015– Centro Natural Corp, located in Davie, FL, was temporarily ordered to shut down in October 2014 per a Federal Trade Commission request following allegations that the company acted as a collection agency on phantom debts that did not exist. The company was accused of fraudulently collecting at least two million dollars from unsuspecting Spanish speaking victims using intimidating tactics such as threats with lawsuits, arrests and immigration status investigations if they failed to pay. On July 8, 2015, the FTC announced the company is now banned from the debt collection business and imposed a judgment totaling nearly $6.8 million.
