DuPont No. 3 up from No. 10 a Year Ago

Wilmington, Del., June 4, 2012 – The Scientist magazine has named DuPont as one of the best places to work following the results of its 10th annual readers survey. DuPont was named No. 3, up seven placements from last year.

“This recognition is a testament to DuPont’s continued investment in Research and Development (R&D) and our employees’ dedication to science-powered innovation and collaboration,” said Senior Vice President and Chief Science & Technology Officer Douglas Muzyka. “We are continuously working on ways to enrich the work lives of our scientists, challenge ourselves and collaborate and expand our thinking each and every day.” We are very proud of our 9,500 scientists around the world where we invest over 85 percent of our $2 billion in R&D to provide more and better food, reduce dependence on fossil fuels and protect people and the environment.

The Scientist noted this year that: “Whether big or small, the 20 companies that topped our industry survey this year have proven resilient in the face of an ever-changing economic landscape,” said Cristina Luiggi, editor of this year’s survey.

More than 2,000 industry researchers responded to this year’s survey. The full survey results and methodology will be detailed in the article “Best Places to Work in Industry, 2012,” appearing in The Scientist’s June issue and online at www.the- scientist.com.
