Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta names Richard L. Rawson as new Chief Executive Officer
MURRIETA, CA., -- March 2, 2012 – Loma Linda University Medical Center and Loma Linda University Health System are pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Rawson as Chief Executive Officer at Loma Linda University Medical Center – Murrieta.
Mr. Rawson, who will also have the title of Senior Vice President for Strategic Planning at Loma Linda University Health System, will begin his new role on April 2.

Mr. Rawson has more than 28 years of health care experience, most of it in leadership roles at Adventist Health hospitals. He was vice president and CEO of Adventist Health/Central Valley Network, which are made up of four hospital campuses, 23 rural health clinics, and more than 20 other service locations in the central San Joaquin Valley. During his tenure, he oversaw construction of the 142-bed Adventist Medical Center – Hanford, the acquisition of Adventist Medical Center – Reedley, and the addition of 16 clinics to serve rural communities.
He previously served as corporate vice president for Central California for Adventist Health/Home Care Services; as well as president and CEO of Selma Community Hospital.

Mr. Rawson earned his bachelor’s in business administration degree from Loma Linda University and a master’s of business administration degree from California State University, Bakersfield. He and his wife have a grown daughter, Shauna.
