Library catalog software upgrade means limited services Jan. 20, 21

Charlotte, NC - Charlotte Mecklenburg Library will upgrade its library catalog software on January 20 and 21. Most of this upgrade will occur when libraries are closed on Monday, January 20 for the Martin Luther King Day holiday. On this day, access to many remote services will be unavailable, including telephone renewal, access to customer accounts, and portions of the library catalog.

Libraries will re-open to the public on Tuesday, January 21, with limited catalog services. Customers will still be able to check out books and use public computers, but the Library won’t be able to issue new library cards.  In addition, telephone renewal and access to many customer account services will remain unavailable and access to portions of the library catalog will remain limited.

The Library expects to return to normal service on Wednesday, January 22. Customers can go to the Library's web site for updates.
