New Viton® fluoroelastomer resists aggressive organic acids Chemours announced the commercial availability of Viton® VTR-9307, a new, bisphenol-cured fluorinated rubber pre-compound for the production of fluoroelastomer (FKM) parts with long-term resistance to hot acidic gases and condensates. Chemours is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DuPont and is on track to be spun off on July 1, 2015, which will create a new independent public company.

Kempf opens a new Teflon® coating line for Industrial Bakery Solutions Kempf GmbH, a partner of the “Teflon® coatings for Industrial Bakery Solutions” initiative, recently opened its new plant in Rohrbach, Germany, with a certified Teflon® coating production line for high quality baking moulds and trays. Fully automated, the production site has the capacity to coat more than 2,500 square metres per day of bakeware with Teflon® nonstick surfaces for industrial bakeries.
