For the 50th anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s death, Michael Bader, assistant professor of sociology, spoke to WAMU-FM about the aftermath of the 1968 D.C. riots. Bader said, “There were very obvious patterns of white flight, where you would see a neighborhood that was nearly all white at the beginning of the decade be all black by the end of it.” Director of the Antiracist Research and Policy Center Ibram X.
